Chaffee
Liston Mitchell, 88, of Chaffee passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Chaffee Nursing Center surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on Aug. 19, 1930 in Jackson, Missouri to the late Liston and Iva Hutchason Mitchell. He married Coradell Parks on March 30, 1951 and she survives of the home.
Liston retired as Executive Vice-President of the Bank of Chaffee after 27 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chaffee. He was a member of the Chaffee American Legion Post 389, Oran and Chaffee Lions Club and was also a member of the Chaffee Elks Lodge #1810. Liston was voted Man of the Year in 1972 by the Chamber of Commerce in Chaffee. He served in the Navy during the Korean War from 1951 – 1954.
He is survived by his loving wife, Coradell Mitchell of Chaffee; two sons, Richard (Kim) Mitchell of Kuttawa, Kentucky; Mike Mitchell of University City, Missouri; a daughter, Karen (Ron) Senciboy of Chaffee; a brother, James (Bernice) Mitchell of San Jose, California; a sister, Janet Mitchell of St. Louis, Missouri; four grandchildren, Ronnie (Angela) Senciboy Jr., Blake Senciboy, David (Stephanie) Mitchell, Kristin Mitchell, and two great-grandchildren, Luke Mitchell and Lana Mitchell.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jack, Jerry and Joe Mitchell and a sister, Betty Yant.
Friends may call after 12:00 noon until time of service at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm at the Chapel with Rev. Josh Boley officiating. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Senciboy Jr., Blake Senciboy, David Mitchell, Luke Mitchell, Alan White and Tony Powell.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association at https://alz.org, Southeast Hospice of Cape Girardeau, Missouri or the First Baptist Church of Chaffee.
