Lois Harriet Culver

Lois Culver, daughter of the late Joseph D. Chockley and Lela Vanfossen Chockley was born on May 22, 1934 in Rushville, Illinois and departed this life on May 21, 2019 at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 85 years.

Mrs. Culver was a former 30 year employee at K-Mart in Cape Girardeau, Missouri until her retirement on January 31, 2019. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chaffee, Missouri and a resident of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

On March 28, 1954 she was united in marriage to Louis Harrison Culver. Mr. Culver preceded her in death on September 25, 2015.

Survivors include two sons, Michael E. Culver (Tina) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Brian Culver (Barbara) of Morehouse, Missouri; by two daughters, Sharon Adney (Walt) of Bonne Terre, Missouri and Susan Harper (Bill) of Sikeston, Missouri; one brother, Marvin Chockley of Lewiston, Illinois; one sister, Marjorie J. Chockley of Creve Core, Missouri; also by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death one son, Joseph Culver; one daughter, Cathy Culver; one brother, Josiah Chockley.

Friends may call at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee on Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 11:30 until 1:00 P.M. Memorial service will then be conducted at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Marty Blakey officiating.
