Lonnie Raymond Dohogne

Lonnie Raymond Dohogne was born February 4th, 1938 to Joseph and Rosalene (Messmer) Dohogne, and departed this world to heaven on June 28th, 2026. Lonnie was born and raised in Kelso, MO the eldest of seven kids.

On May 17th, 1958 Lonnie married his soul mate, Glenda Waddell. They spent 68 years together. Their love grew to a family of five children, nine grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Lonnie was a devout and faithful Catholic of St. Augustine Parish in Kelso, MO. He spent 50 years working for Drury Companies. Starting his career as a tile layer in 1956 and working his way up to retirement in 2006 as CEO/President.

Lonnie spent his younger years playing for the Kelso Men’s fastpitch softball team as a 3rd baseman. He enjoyed camping and the outdoors. Lonnie was known as an avid fisherman and hunter, making many trips to Sardis Lake in Mississippi in the summer to catch crappie and to deer camp in the fall hunting with his sons and grandkids. He loved his grandchildren with his whole heart, making as many sporting events, birthdays and get togethers as he could. As years passed and times slowed down, Lonnie enjoyed being a member of the “Knights of the Round Table” visiting with his friends every morning over breakfast. He also enjoyed sitting on the front porch surrounded by his wife's beautiful flower garden.

Lonnie is survived by his wife Glenda, two sons, Rick Dohogne, Greg (Cindy) Dohogne; three daughters; Gayle (Keith) Weisenborn, Michele (Wayne) Martin, Pam Beussink; nine grandchildren, Lance (Bailey) Dohogne, Travis (Wendi) Beussink, Trevor (Brandie) Beussink, Jessica (Hunter) Thomason, Whitney Seabaugh, Kelli (Eric) Rueseler, Casey (Drew) Goodale, Jake (Kayla) Holmes, and Kadi (Skylar) Dohogne; 22 great-grandchildren with one on the way; two brothers, Jim (Joan) Dohogne and Chuck Dohogne; three sisters, Sherry (Donnie) Dirnberger, Mary Kay Schlosser and Carol Burger; sister-in-law, Judy Atkinson

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father in-law, brother Kenny Dohogne; three brothers-in-law, Charlie Burger, Tom Atkinson, and Joe Bregantini; sister-in-law, Delores Bregantini; and lifelong best friend Chuck Miller.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM with pray service at 7:30 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026 at 10:00 AM in the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso with Father Tom Wilk officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery.
