Loretta Mae Weaver

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Loretta Mae Cowell Weaver. Loretta left us on July 17, 2026, at the age of 85. She was born on November 5, 1940 to Noal and Izada Holman Cowell in Lamar, Arkansas. Loretta married Floyd A. Bryant on May 20, 1955. Their union blessed them with four children.

Loretta lived a life filled with kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotions to her family. Loretta was known for her warm smile, hugs, and kisses, as well as her ability to make everyone feel welcomed. She has a talent singing and her knowledge of scripture. She found joy in family gatherings, walking her dog, Emma, yearly trips with her mother, sisters and children, and watching her grandchildren grow.

Loving survivors include, four children, Barbara (Don) Bollinger of Benton, MO, Alan (Carol) Bryant of Benton, MO, Timothy (Nancy) Bryant of Rockwood, IL, and Kristine (Paul) Rhodes, of Effingham, IL; two sisters, Linda McDonough of Zalma, MO and Sandra Dlugoh of Lamar, AR; two brothers, Dean (Tammy) Cowell of Marble Hill, MO and Anthony (Noni) Cowell of Marble Hill, MO; twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, two sisters, three brothers and one grandchild.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 9-11 AM at Morley Church of God in Morley, MO. Memorial service will follow at 11 AM at the church. A private inurnment will be held at a later date in the Forest Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Loretta’s love was undying, her presence was a blessing and her love was a guiding light for all who knew her.
