Margaret Marie Stroup
Margaret Marie Stroup, daughter of the late Gilbert Earl Cobb and Emma Lou (Perdue) Cobb was born on May 23, 1947 in Gideon, Missouri and departed her life on May 23, 2026 at her residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 79 years.
Mrs. Stroup was the owner/operator of Kiddie Korner Daycare in Bloomfield, Missouri for more than 25 years. Later in her career she retired from Tyson Cook Plant. She had a passion for children and gave those she knew and loved a great place to grow and learn. Mrs. Stroup also helped many people come to Jesus Christ and show them his grace and love.
On December 15, 1962 she was united in marriage to William (Bill) Stroup in Kinder, Missouri. Mr. Stroup survives of the home in Dexter.
Along with her husband, survivors include, two daughters, Kimberly (Jimmy) Stroup Smith of Dexter and Erin Lunn of Bernie, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Vanessa Stroup of Dexter; seven grandchildren, Zachary (Hannah) Smith of Scott City, Cassie (Lance) Kindzierski Crestview, Florida, Seth and Noah Smith both of Dexter, Zeke and Bella Lunn of Bernie, Missouri. And Ariana Colove of Dexter; five great-grandchildren, Kodi Smith, Evelyn, Audrey, and Julien Kindzierski, and Amora Colove; two brothers, James and Bill Cobb; uncle Eldon and aunt Rosemary Stroup; her very close extended family, MaryJane Jenkin, Jeffery Chastain, Kenny Chastain, Catrina (Terry) Dawson, Shelby and Rylee Dawson; also, by several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Gary Stroup, four brothers, Daniel, Gerald, Joseph, and David Cobb; three sisters, Loraine Gernon, Anna Pratt, and Sheri Nizinski.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the Assembly of God Church in Dexter. Funeral service will then be conducted on Friday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dale Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.
