Marilyn Kay Cook, 69 of Chaffee, Missouri died Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born November 26, 1949 in Cash, Arkansas to Mattie Jane Rhodes Lewallen. She married Everett Thomas Cook on December 15, 1982. He preceded her in death on May 26, 1990.
She is survived by two sons, Robert “Spike” Cook of Sachse, Texas and Chad (Tonya) Cassout of Irving, Texas; a stepson, Jimmy ( Amy) Cook of Gypsy, Missouri; two stepdaughters, Clara (Pat) Ross of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri and Tommie (Fonzie) Elkins of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Landri, Lane, Cole and Tory and two great-grandchildren, Kileigh and Kaiden.
She was also preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Jane and Claude Whaley; a son, Jeffrey Cassout; a brother, Ricky Lewallen and a sister, Linda Miller.
Visitation will be from noon until time of service on Saturday at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday at the chapel with Rev. Mike Schupert officiating.
Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral chapel to assist with funeral expenses.
