Marsha Huckstep

Marsha Kay Huckstep (Crump), 74, of Scott City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, at the Lutheran Home, surrounded by her loving family.

Marsha was born on June 23, 1951, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to William Elvis Crump and Helen Louise Crump, who preceded her in death. She was a proud graduate of Cape Central High School, Class of 1969.

On June 4, 1976, she married Joe Huckstep. They shared 32 years of marriage and many memories together.

She is survived by her children, Amy Strange of Cape Girardeau, Derick Huckstep of Scott City, Dustin (Michelle) Huckstep of Scott City, and Kelli (Joe) Murray of Scott City, and her step-sons, Dan (Joyce) Huckstep, Doug Huckstep, and Dennis Huckstep.

She was a proud and loving Nana to Taylor Strange, Brayden Strange, Kambri Huckstep, Brylee Huckstep, and Beckett Murray, and step-grandchildren Lindsey Huckstep, Brett (Amanda) Huckstep, Sara Huckstep, Brandon Huckstep, Heather LeGrand, and Madison (Andrew) Williams.

She is also survived by her brother, Rick (Kay) Crump.

Marsha was known for her fun-loving and feisty spirit. She enjoyed sewing, baking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her the greatest joy in life. Being “Nana” was one of her most treasured roles, and she loved each of her grandchildren with all her heart.

Funeral service will be at 12 pm on Thursday, March 26 at the Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery chapel.
