Mary Margaret Horman

Mary Horman, daughter of the late William Crites and Norman (Sanford) Crites was born on June 9, 1947 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed her life on Thursday, October 8, 2026 in Chaffee, Missouri at the age of 79 years.

Mrs. Horman was a former employee of the Chaffee Hat Factory and later in her career worked for St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was a member of the Chaffee General Baptist Church and a resident of Chaffee. Mary enjoyed spending time with family, shopping, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.

On January 3, 1969 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Adolph Horman. He preceded her in death on December 1988.

Survivors include one son, Larry Horman of Chaffee; two granddaughters, Jessie Horman and Hannah Horman; five great-grandchildren; also, by a host of family and friends.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Gracie Palmer; one brother, William Glen Crites and one sister, Diana Sue Copeland.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 from 10:30 until 11:15 AM at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 11:30 AM in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City, Missouri with Rev. Bob Lewis officiating. Interment will follow.
