Maxie Lee McKenzie, daughter of the late John and Arpy (Wireman) Neely was born June 11, 1934 in Springfork, KY and departed this life on Sunday Jun 14, 2020 at the Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 86 years.
On October 30, 1955 she was united in marriage to Eldon Dale McKenzie, who preceded her in death on November 9, 2010.
Survivors include one daughter: Nelda Eichhorn of Chaffee, Mo; three sons: William Bruce McKenzie of Cape Girardeau, MO, Larry Dale McKenzie of Broken Arrow , OK, Robert Daniel McKenzie of Marietta, GA; four sisters: Reba Horn of Crossville, Tn, Sarah Newton, Jane Spencer both of Ohio, Jeanne Parish of Indiana; one brother: Dan Neely of Texas, eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Arthur Neely, Robert Neely, and Junior Neely; and one sister: Ruth Spear.
Visitation will be on Wednesday June 17, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Church of God church in Chaffee, until time of service at 2:00 pm in the church sanctuary with Robert McKenzie and Betty Reed Officiating. There will be a private burial at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
