Melissa Kay (Medley) Ulmer

Melissa Kay Ulmer, daughter of the late Gary Medley and Bobbie (McBride) Medley was born on March 30, 1978 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed her life on Monday, May 11, 2026 at Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri at the age of 48 years.

On July 13, 1996 she was united in marriage to Randy Ulmer in Cape Girardeau. Mr. Ulmer survives of the home in Morley. Together for 35 years they shared life of family and friends.

Melissa lived a life full of love and devotion to her family and friends.

Along with her husband, survivors include one son, Austin Ulmer; one daughter, Brittney Ulmer; grandchildren, Alayah, Kaeslie, Kolbey, and Treshawn. Who knew her as Nana. Being a Nana was Melissas greatest joy and love in life. She never missed the opportunity to love, hug, and make memories with them. The bond she shared with them was unforgettable. Melissa enjoyed camping, fish fries, and simple moments with family and friends. Other survivors include, one brother, Eric (Kim) Medley; one sister, Leslie Baylor; mother-in-law, Kathy Ulmer; also, by her extended family of aunts, uncles, niece, and nephews. Melissa has a smile and soft heart and a love that was special. She may be gone from our sight but will forever remain in our heart and souls.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapels assisting with arrangements.
