Nina Ruth (Caudle) Hensley, 88, of Ironton, Missouri, formerly of Scott City, joined her husband in their heavenly home on November 6, 2020 at the Missouri Baptist Home in Ironton, Missouri. She was born on February 17, 1932 to Janie Elizabeth and William Bryant Caudle. She attended school in Advance, MO. In 1949, she married Charles J. Hensley and together that had four children. Nina spent her life as a homemaker and much more. She was very active in Illmo Baptist Church where her family attended and she taught Sunday School classes for both children and adults. Through her creativity, she was an accomplished seamstress, and a self-taught pianist. Her biggest love was all plants. Not only could she grow anything, but with her love and tender care, flowers were bigger, brighter and fuller than you could imagine. In 1990, she and Charley retired to Windermere Baptist Conference Center where they dedicated themselves to volunteering for over 25 years. During this time, Nina was able to put her love of flowers to use to cultivate and completely re-landscaped the grounds at Windermere. She and Charley were members of Camdenton First Baptist Church in Camdenton, Missouri. Her love of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was evident in how she lived her life and granted her peace in her final days. Nina is survived by a daughter, Dianne Kile of Texas; two sons, Dale (Cindy) Hensley of South Carolina and Michael (Kim) Hensley of Scott City; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a sister, Lola Watson of Ironton, MO and a brother, Jimmie ( Pat) Caudle of Blytheville, AR; a sister in-law, Gladys (Alvie) Baker of Scott City and a brother-in-law, Don (Betty) Hensley of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 4 brothers and 4 sisters, and a son.
Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Monday, November 9 at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.
A private burial will be held on Tuesday , November 10 at Lightner Cemetery in Scott City with Rev. Jim Wills officiating.
