Ora Jean Watkins

Ora Watkins, daughter of the late Claude Pearson and Bernice Puckett Pearson was born on February 9, 1946 in Bell City, Missouri and departed this life on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the New Madrid Living Center in New Madrid, Missouri at the age of 74.

Mrs. Watkins was a former employee at Thorngate Manufacturing and a care giver for her daughter for many years.

She was united in marriage to Jack Watkins in 1966. Mr. Watkins preceded her in death on October 4, 1980.

Survivors include one son, James (Robin) Watkins of Oran; by three daughters, Daphne Medley (Marlin O’Neal) of Morley, Susan Kern and Chundi Rose both of Oran; by two sisters, Marilyn Gilliland of Morley and Brenda Pearson of Sikeston; by eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Pearson and by one sister, Evelyn Hill.

Memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran conducting arrangements.
