Robert Cabral

Robert Herman Cabral

Bob Cabral, son to the late Joseph Manuel and Ida (Donini) Cabral was born on January 10, 1938 in Oakland, California and departed this life on February 19, 2026 at Mercy Southeast Hospital, Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 88 years.

He was of the Catholic faith. Bob retired in 2009 from the Carpenters Union in St. Louis, Missouri.

Bob leaves behind a legacy of hard work, determination, and cherished memories. He was a man who never shied away from a challenge—always willing to roll up his sleeves and see any task through, no matter the circumstances. Bob found joy in the simple things, whether it was eating tacos from Taco Bell, enjoying McDonald’s fries, or checking his lottery tickets.

Those who knew Bob will remember him as a gifted storyteller. He always had a tale ready, and if you lent him an ear, you’d be drawn in by stories of his accomplishments, adventures, and the wisdom he gathered along the way. Bob's inventive spirit and resourcefulness made a lasting mark—he was a man who could make things happen, often in ways nobody anticipated. His love for sports was clear, especially in his loyalty to the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers.

Bob was truly something else. His legacy lives on in the laughter, the stories, and the fond memories shared by all who had the privilege to know him. He approached life with creativity and a passion for building and designing, always seeking to leave things better than he found them.

Though he will be missed, Bob’s memory will remain bright in the hearts of family and friends.

On August 23, 1973 he was united in marriage to Linda Owens in Tempe, Arizona. She survives of the home in Marble Hill, Missouri

Besides his wife of 53 years, He is survived by two sons, Joseph and James Cabral; three daughters, Laura Cabral, Cynthia Walker and Julie Cabral; a brother, Ronald Cabral; a sister, Joanne Coppock; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers.
