Robert Eugene Keesee
Robert Eugene Keesee, age 85, of Scott City, MO, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026 at Providence Hospice Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Born on February 22, 1941, in Grays Point, Missouri, Robert spent his life grounded in hard work, devotion to his family, and a strong sense of craftsmanship. A skilled home builder and bricklayer by trade, he took deep pride in the work of his hands, creating sturdy foundations that stood the test of time. In his younger days, he was an avid drag racing participant. He continued that love in the garage for years after, spending countless hours restoring salvage trucks and bringing classic machinery back to life.
Above all, Robert was a devoted family man. He is survived by his children, Robert Keesee, Monty (Michelle) Keesee, and Kimberly Adams; his sister, Linda (Paul) Bradshaw; his grandchildren, Heather (Hunter) Baker, Toby Adams, and Tyler (Jessica) Adams; his great-grandchildren, Riker and Beau Keesee; his step-great-granddaughter, Kennedy Baker; and multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that care deeply for him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary (Lindeman) Keesee; his brother, William (Shirley) Keesee; his sisters, Leraun Keesee and Shirley (Jim) Scism; his son-in-law, John Adams; and his grandson, Wade Keesee.
A visitation service will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel, 115 Hickory St. East, Scott City, MO 63780 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service beginning at 1:00 PM with Pastor Randy Morse leading the service.
