Robert Lynn Thomas
Robert Thomas, son of the late Earl J. Thomas and Mary Catherine (Kiefer) Thomas was born on March 26, 1958 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed his life peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at St. Charles Habilitation Center in St. Charles, Missouri where he had been a resident since 1988, at the age of 68 years.
Survivors include one sister, Diana “Sissy” (Doyle) Tankersley of Centertown, Missouri; also, by several nieces and nephews along with great-nieces and great-nephews. Robert is also, survived by his housemates in Home 12 and all the caring staff at St. Charles Habilitation Center who provided excellent service to meet his daily needs.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James Thomas, Gerald Thomas, and Steve Thomas; and also, by great-nephew Steven J. Thomass II.
Robert loved the St. Louis Cardinal, Elvis Presley music and Missouri Special Olympics. He participated in the Olympic Games from 1990 through 2026 successive achievement.
Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, July 20, 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Union Memorial Park Cemetery in Chaffee, Missouri with Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapels assisting with arrangements.
