Rosemary Nikki O'Connell

Rosemary “Nikki” O’Connell, age 54, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Daybreak Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sikeston, MO.

On February 17, 1971, in Chaffee, MO, she was born to the late Walter and Myra Baugh Scott.

Nikki had been a hair stylist for many years until her retirement.

Survivors include her four sons: John Matthew & Megan Bradley of Morley, MO, Michael Jaden Scott O’Connell, Tristan Keith O’Connell, and Ashton Jude O’Connell all of Cape Girardeau, MO; four brothers: Jason & Stacy Ourth of Benton, MO, Tracy & Elaine Estes of Scott City, MO, Jay & Lisa Scott of North Carolina, Tim Burks of Cape Girardeau, MO; two sisters: Debbie & Scott Graham of Jackson, MO, and Gaye Lovegrove of South Carolina, her step mother Maxine Burks-Scott of Chaffee, MO, and three grandchildren, and a special niece, Madalyn Graham.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Billy Joe “B.J.” Bradley Jr. and one brother Bobby Burks.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, MO. From 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.

A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.

Family and friends are invited to attend a continued celebration of Nikki’s life following the service at Big E’s in Chaffee, MO.
