Rosie Lelia Fritz

Rosie “Sissy” Fritz, daughter of the late Pearl and Alma Riley Probst was born on May 16, 1943, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed her life for a heavenly birthday party on Friday, May 16, 2025 at her residence in Morley, Missouri at the age of 82 years.

She was affiliated with New Life Christian Center in Morley, had a strong love and faith in Jesus Christ, and enjoyed listening to gospel music. She was a strong advocate for children and showed love to all people she met in her life. Rosie enjoyed spending time with family and friends and having visitors at her home. Her favorite hobbies were listening to audio books, sewing and making things for others. Despite being totally blind she amazingly able to thread her own needles and paid extra attention to tiny details on her sewing projects. Every stitch was made with pride and love.

On April 5, 1963 she was united in marriage to Albert George Fritz. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1982.

Survivors include two sons, Jacob Fritz and John Fritz both of Morley; one daughter, Ruth (Jesse) Masterson of Thebes, Illinois; a life partner of 38 years, Orville Stephens of the home; one brother, Ronnie Probst of McClure, Illinois; two sisters, Freida Gamblin of Scott City and Audrey Denny of Chaffee; four grandchildren, Cristal (Cole) Welker, Amber (Christopher) Henry, Cameron Masterson, and Christian Fritz; seven great-grandchildren, five nephews, seven nieces, and multiple great nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Lyle Fritz; four brothers, Paul, Glenn, Leroy, and James Probst; one sister, Arlene Leist; 4 nieces, 2 nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from noon until 2:00 PM for family and friends at the New Life Christian Center, 23148 Hwy 61, Morley, MO. Funeral services will then be conducted at 2:00 PM in the New Life Christian Center. Interment will follow in the New Morley Cemetery.
