Sharon Brown

Sharon Brown, daughter of the late Marshall Brown and Freda (Jordan) Young was born on August 12, 1946 in Painton, Missouri and departed her life on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 79 years.

Ms. Brown was a Certified Nursing Aid over 30 years serving southeast Missouri area. She was affiliated with Scott City First and a former resident of Chaffee.

Survivors include one son, Scott (Chrissy) Brown of Advance; two daughters, Theresa (Ron) Holdiness of Chaffee and Angela (Larry) Moore of Vienna, Illinois; one brother, Jeff Young of Fenton, Missouri; two sisters, Tina Adams of St. Clair, Missouri and Andrea Young of Aquilla, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Heather Brown, Chelsea (Ronnie) Williams, Nicole (Ray) Brown, James (Jessica) Williams, Sierra (Mike) Holmes, Haley (Randy) Otterson, Brandon Holdiness, and Gunner (Valerie) Holdiness; by fourteen great-grandchildren, Madison, Kenzie, Maci, Ryder, Collin, Miles, Bryson, Amirah, Alister, Roper, Ollie-Jane, Tate, Ledger, and Sage; also, by other relatives and friends.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kevin and Mark Young; by one sister, Nena Young.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Scott City First Family and Worship Center in Scott City.  Celebration of life service will be at 12:00 pm at the church.
