Stanley Myers

Stanley G. Myers, 78 of Scott City died Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born November 27, 1946, in Poplar Bluff to Robert and Ruth Millhouse Myers. He married Faye Reid.

Stan was an Engineer for Union Pacific Railroad for thirty-eight years. He was a graduate of Scott City High School and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved crappie fishing hunting deer and hunting arrow heads with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Faye; two sons, Sam (Becky) Cowan of Texas and Daniel (Dani) Myers of Springfield, Missouri; a brother, Jim (Carol) Myers of High Ridge, Missouri; three grandchildren, Sam Cowan, Geoff Myers and Emily Myers and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Saturday at the chapel with Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating.

Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
