Taryn Ann Penrose

Taryn Ann Penrose was born Jan. 21, 1961 at Cape Girardeau, Missouri daughter of Janis and Glenn Vogel of Oran, Missouri.

She passed away suddenly at her home on May 4, 2019 in Cape Girardeau. She graduated from Guardian Angel Catholic School in May, 1976 and graduated from Oran High School in 1979.

Taryn was employed at Chaffee Signal, Saxony Village as a dietician and also worked at D-Mart in Cape and Fruitland until she was forced to retire due to health reasons. She loved dogs especially her faithful dog Callie who has been a faithful companion for the last 8 years. Taryn loved to go out and volunteer and play with the dogs at MAC’s Mission.

She is survived by her parents, Janis and Glenn Vogel, a son, Robert Penrose, a brother Brian (Jennifer) Vogel; Brian’s family by marriage, Brandon (Deana, Cash Lee) Phillips; Brent (Rachel, Kyla) Phillips; Bethany (Billy, Lacey, Beth) Kirkpatrick; Uncle and godfather, Larry V (Linda, Mallory, London) Urhahn; Aunt Sonnie Bollinger and her son Kevin (Carol, Kyle, Cole) Bollinger; Aunt Rosemary and her children, Cary Jo, Steven, Laura, Mary Bee Bushko and other cousins, family and friends, especially Rochelle Steffen.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Dixie and Henry Urhahn; Paternal grandparents, Francis and Juanita Vogel; Aunt Judy Urhahn; Mary Urhan; Uncle Joe Bushko; Uncle Donald Lee Bollinger and her beloved cousin, Michael V. Urhahn. I am sure they are hugging, laughing and talking non-stop in haven.

Friends may call after 8:00 am until time of service on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 at Guardian Angel Catholic Church with Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be at Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery in Oran.
