Teri Bowman-Duschell

Teri Bowman-Duschell, daughter of the late Donald David Harris and Sharon Lynn (Phillips) Harris was born on August 3, 1966 in Flint, Michigan and departed her life on Sunday, September 13, 2026 in Saint Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 60 years.

She was an employee of Saint Francis Medical Center as a PACU/ Same Day Surgery Technician and a resident of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

On September 21, 2012 she was united in marriage to Bill Duschell in Gordonville, Missouri. Mr. Duschell survives of the home in Cape Girardeau.

Along with her husband, survivors include, three daughters, Brooke (Zachary) Vines of Jackson, Bethany (Josh Alvarado) Bowman of Cape Girardeau, and Morgan (Brandon) Chapman of Randolph, Alabama; one son, Austin Duschell of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Jason Harris of Arizona; eight grandchildren, Bryton Asher, Holly Vines, Brylee Alvarado, Bronson Alvarado, Grady Vines, Billie Chapman, Bailey Chapman, and Elianna Alvarado; also, by a host of family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, David Harris Jr., and by one sister, Kyle Ann Kluesner.

Teri was never short on opinions and was never afraid to tell you the truth. Even throughout her battle with cancer, she continued to say, “It’s just something I have to go through.” She was strong, independent, and had a serious disdain for asking for help, even when faced with the hardest thing anyone could go through.

The family does not want Teri to be remembered for the cancer that took her. Instead, remember her for the laughter she gave you, the advice she offered that actually worked, and the coworker and friend she was to so many. Remember her love of traveling, her grandchildren, and her ten Christmas trees that filled the house every December. Remember the wife she was to Bill, and commend Bill for being willing to do anything she needed or wanted. Remember her love of old lanterns, her favorite color, royal blue, and, above all, remember the immense love she had for her family.

Celebration of life visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 11:00 until 1:00 PM and service will follow at 1:00 PM at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Interment will follow in the Friend Cemetery in Oran.
