Terry passed away on Monday June 30, 2025, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo, at the age of 82 yrs.

Terry was born on May 23, 1943, in Cape Girardeau, to Harold and Berniece Pobst. He was the second oldest of five children. He was baptized, confirmed as a soldier of Christ in Catholic Faith at Guardian Angel Parish in Oran, Missouri. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Rose Marie (Bucher) Pobst on April 27, 1963, and enjoyed 62 years of marriage together. Who was the love of his life.

Terry completed his eight years of school at Guardian Angel, four years of high school at Oran High School. Worked at the shoe factory in Cape, enjoyed his 37 years of employment with Columbia Construction where he met and enjoyed the many employees, friends in the Furniture Factory, Columbia Construction who he mentored, guided in his time as their boss. In his retirement he worked for Pobst Heating and Air for 10 years and enjoyed working with his son.

Terry’s life passion was his wife, enjoyed every aspect of caring for his wife, children and their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Camping, only as a joy for his family, traveling as long he could drive to the destinations, enjoyed traveling to Medjurgori, Bosnia, also his retirement gift (trip to Alaska) He enjoyed his last trip to Puerto Rico in late March to visit a friend. He also loved his canine friend (Buddy), a service dog, who was at his side most of the day walking, sitting and praying. Buddy kept him in shape by walking two miles each day and then sitting on the patio having a jack and coke. He spent many hours in his man cave listening to country music just to relax and sometimes to nap.

He was an active member of Guardian Angel, St Joseph Sodality, Knights of Columbus, Lay Associate of Adorers of Christ, during his younger years. Perpetual Adoration Adorer since 1994. He was a great Prayer Warrior and Servant of God for those who needed prayer and help in a difficult situation. A warrior for the unborn.

Terry is survived by his wife Rose, five children Brian (Kim Criddle), Brad (Kathy Robert), Lynette (Doug Halter), Dale (Kim Abner), Todd (Leah Panagos), twelve grandchildren, Anthony (Hannah), Ethan, Sydney, Travis, Heather (significant other Nolan), Kirsten, Thomas (Ara), Josh, Grant, Christopher, Gracee, Dalton Meyer. Three great grandchildren, JB, Fay, Mavery & many special nieces, nephews and spouses. Three sisters Beverly Grojean, Marsha Norman, and Gina Caudill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Berniece, 4 grandchildren, one brother Ronnie.

Visitation at Amick Burnett Funeral Home in Oran, Sunday July 6- 4-8 with Parish Rosary at 6-Knights of Columbus prayers following. Funeral Mass Guardian Angel Church, Oran, Mo. Monday July 7, 10 Am-with Father Kelly officiating, Pallbearers: Travis Halter, Anthony Pobst, Ethan Pobst, Grant Pobst, Thomas DeBrock, Josh DeBrock.
