Timothy Stiemle

Tim Steimle, 71 of Chaffee, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026 surrounded by his greatest love and family at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

He was born on August 20, 1954 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to the late Richard (Dick) Steimle and Eva Gangel Steimle.

Mr. Steimle retired from Burlington Northan Railroad after 36 years. Tim was very athletic during his high school years at Chaffee High School that continued throughout his adult life. He played on several softball teams in the southeast area. Tim was instrumental with the Elks hoop shoot for over 30 years and was a lifetime member of the Chaffee Elks Lodge and named Elk of the year in 1993.

On September 4, 1993 he was united in marriage to the love of his life Megan Steimle in Chaffee. Together they raised five children, Brian (Michelle) Steimle of Puxico, Karen (Brian) Kilburn of Chaffee, Keith Steimle of Chaffee, Jeff (Lorran) Daugherty of Redding, California, and Brad Daugherty of Chaffee; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who are his biggest accomplishments; a brother, Doug (Ruth) Steimle of Kentucky; maternal parents, Doug and Roberta Byers.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Tom Steimle.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2026 from 11:00 until 1:00 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral service will then be conducted at 1:00 with Pastor Daryl Thompson officiating. Immediately follow the service there will be a celebration and social at the Elks in Chaffee.
