Vera Mae Redfern

Vera Redfern, daughter of the late Albert Westrich and Ann “Stella” (Enderle) Westrich was born on December 16, 1929 in Kelso, Missouri and departed her life on Friday morning April 25, 2025 in the Chaffee Nursing Center at the age of 95 years.

She was a former employee of Thorngate in Chaffee and a member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee.

On January 31, 1953 she was united in marriage to Robert “BOB” Redfern in Kelso, Missouri. Mr. Redfern preceded her in death on December 19, 2006.

Survivors include one sister, Marie LeGrand of Florida: several nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Chester Westrich, Alfred Westrich, Roy Westrich, and Leon Westrich; by one sister Alma Heisserer.

Memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
