Verna Brashear

Verna Louise Brashear, 62 of Scott City, Missouri died Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born January 31, 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas to James Paul and Dorothy Lee Hale Shuffit. She married Danny Edward Brashear on September 5, 1976. He preceded her in death on March 15, 2000.

She was a housekeeper for Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.

She is survived by a son, Daniel Brashear of Scott City; a brother, Mike (Glenda) Shuffit of Scott City; three sisters, Paula (Jim) Menees of Scott City, Dorothy Clark of Battles, Texas and Rose (Charlie) Richardson of Cape Girardeau.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Shuffit.

Private family services will be held on Friday with Rev. Randy Morse officiating.
