Victor Powell

Victor William Powell, Jr., 67 of Jackson, Missouri died Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  He was born Jun 24, 1953 in Martinez, California to Victor William and Nancy Thoroughman Powell, Sr.  He married Malissa Powell on January 3, 1980.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy Camp of Oakdale, California; his wife, Malissa Powell of Scott City; a son, Victor William Powell, III of DeSoto, Illinois and his children, Ariah, Gabriel and Elijah; a daughter, Renee (Jake) Hitt of Jackson, Missouri and their children, Simon, Jory, Ruben, Vanna, Collin and Caleb.

He was a lover.. a lover of his family especially his grandkids who ignited a second childhood in his heart. A lover of fishing, camping and outdoor things.  He had the best laugh and was always up for an adventure.  He was a true friend.. the give you my last smoke and light it for you kind of friend.   He kept promises and showed up when most wouldn’t.  Stubborn and hard headed he lived his life with passion.  He will forever be missed by his family and all of his friends.
