Virgil Long

Virgil Byoma Long, 79 of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Monday, January 13, 2025 at his home.  He was born January 16, 1945 in Pemiscot County, Missouri to Byoma and Addie M. Wilson Long.

He was owner/operator of Long Construction and he served in the Army National Guard.

He is survived by his son, Jimmy Crossen of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Arvel Long, Lennard Ray Long, Bobby Joe Long, Harry Franklin Quetermous and H.L. Robert Quetermous and a sister, Carol Long.

Graveside service will be at noon on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Unity Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating.
