William "Knox" Dinwiddie

William “Knox” Dinwiddie, 73 of Scott City, Missouri died Thursday, January 26, 2023 at his home after a long battle with cancer.  He was born May 2, 1949 in Big Sandy, Tennessee to John Floyd and Minnie Beaton Dinwiddie.  He married Laura Lee Hopke on March 8, 2017

He was a retired ironworker and a member of Commerce Baptist Church.  He enjoyed reading the Bible, spending time with family and friends, wood working and traveling.

Knox is survived by his wife Laura; daughters, Cindy Schaefer of Barnhart, Missouri and Saundra Morrison of Fairville, Oklahoma; a brother, Henry Dinwiddie of Infield, Illinois; thirteen grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, James Lawson and John Ralph Dinwiddie; a sister, Sarah Helen Bors and a grandson Parker Schaefer.

He will be laid to rest with his parents in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Big Sandy, Tennessee.
